Applied Behavior Analysis

ABA is based on the science of behavior, and uses systematic strategies to teach socially important behaviors. Professionals look for patterns in why a behavior is happening, and work with the families to identify better alternatives. In ABA, we believe that all behavior is communication.

Using positive reinforcement, ABA can encourage appropriate behaviors simply by re-arranging when rewards are available
Can be used to increase behaviors we want to see more of, and replace unwanted behaviors by improving communication
Data is collected everyday so we can observe changes in skill level, and make sure we are making positive gains

Speech Therapy

Speech therapy helps individuals improve their ability to communicate, both verbally and non-verbally.

Speech therapy focuses on enhancing language development, including understanding and using words correctly
It helps individuals speak more clearly so others can understand them better, working on sounds, pronunciation, and fluency
Speech can also address swallowing and feeding difficulties through exercises that strengthen oral muscles

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy helps individuals build skills to be as independent as possible. It focuses on everyday tasks like dressing, eating, and personal care, helping people complete these tasks on their own.

Parent Training

Parents learn how to encourage their child’s independence in daily activities, such as self-care, communication, and play. It fosters better communication between parents and children, enhancing mutual understanding and reducing frustration. Parent involvement also ensures ABA strategies continue to be effective long after therapy sessions have ended.

When parents are actively involved, children often make faster progress because they get more practice and reinforcement outside of therapy

Social Skills

Independent Living Skills

Daily living skills training helps individuals gain independence by teaching essential self-care tasks, like dressing, eating, and hygiene. These essential life skills promote client dignity, and help pave the way for more independence in adulthood.
